AOAC farmers harvested Japanese rice in November.<\/p>\n
It got milled and cleaned, and now ready to come to your kitchen.<\/p>\n
Usually Japanese people love new rice since it is stickier than old one.<\/p>\n
We have still stock of 2022 Nov and 2023 May rice with good quality<\/p>\n
which is a little less sticky.<\/p>\n
We offer aged rice with special discount.<\/p>\n
Please try them for sushi and other East Asian dishes!<\/p>\n

New year period is the most important cerebration in Japan.<\/p>\n
The people decorate their houses with special traditional ornaments which is said to call happiness in the new year,<\/p>\n
prepare traditional dishes called osechi; sweet omelet, sweeten black bean,<\/p>\n
fish rolled with see weed, chest nuts with sweet potato, and each dish has certain wish.<\/p>\n
Many people go to pray in Shrine or Buddhist temple for safe and health of the family and some personal achievements.<\/p>\n
Usually all the family and relatives get together at one place,<\/p>\n
they exchange very polite greetings and wishes, and have meals together.<\/p>\n
These sceneries are quite usual new year days in Japan.<\/p>\n
However, it\u2019s sad to write that, as you might know, strong earth quake and tsunami hit some area on very 1st<\/sup> January in Japan.<\/p>\nMore than 1000 houses collapsed and many people lost their lives and family\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n
Then, 2nd<\/sup> Jan, the rescue air plane was crushed with passenger flight in Haneda Airport.<\/p>\nWe felt what happened from the beginning of new year!<\/p>\n
Please pray for the people who are waiting for daily needs and shelter in cold weather.<\/p>\n
No more nightmare will come any more.<\/p>\n
