- New Japanese rice harvest 2011 is now open for selling

AOAC farmers harvested Japanese rice in November.
It got milled and cleaned, and now ready to come to your kitchen.
Usually Japanese people love new rice since it is stickier than old one.
We have still stock of 2022 Nov and 2023 May rice with good quality
which is a little less sticky.
We offer aged rice with special discount.
Please try them for sushi and other East Asian dishes!

New year period is the most important cerebration in Japan.
The people decorate their houses with special traditional ornaments which is said to call happiness in the new year,
prepare traditional dishes called osechi; sweet omelet, sweeten black bean,
fish rolled with see weed, chest nuts with sweet potato, and each dish has certain wish.
Many people go to pray in Shrine or Buddhist temple for safe and health of the family and some personal achievements.
Usually all the family and relatives get together at one place,
they exchange very polite greetings and wishes, and have meals together.
These sceneries are quite usual new year days in Japan.
However, it’s sad to write that, as you might know, strong earth quake and tsunami hit some area on very 1st January in Japan.
More than 1000 houses collapsed and many people lost their lives and family’s lives.
Then, 2nd Jan, the rescue air plane was crushed with passenger flight in Haneda Airport.
We felt what happened from the beginning of new year!
Please pray for the people who are waiting for daily needs and shelter in cold weather.
No more nightmare will come any more.
So, this year, more and more, strongly wishing peace and good health to each of you!
